Legend Behind Rudraksh

Rudraksh is formed by association of two words, 'RUDRA' and 'AKSHA'. Rudra is the name of Lord Shiva. Aksha means 'tear'. It is said that the plant of Rudraksh is originated from the tear drops of Lord Shiva. As per the vedic scriptures Rudraksh can nullify the effects of malefic planets to a great extent. Shastras say Rudraksh of any mukhis can never o any harm to the wearer unlike Navratnas, which have to be carefully chosen. No other necklace or bead is so auspicious and powerful as Rudraksh.

The Tears of Lord Shiva that are the Rudraksha Beads have been worn by the Yogis of India and the Himalayas for thousands of years for the Fearless Life on their Path to Enlightenment and Liberation. The many Devotees of Truth who deliberately live their lives according to Eternal Nat1ural Law that is Santana Dharma Know that Rudraksha Beads are a Gift from The Almighty God and are a Natural Birth Right of the Mankind.

The Holy Rudraksha Beads are based in the Absolute Field of Consciousness and they manifest in the Relative Field for the good of all concerned to help relieve sin and suffering and pain world wide for all Cultures and all the Mankind. Nowadays, they seem to come in all shapes and sizes, and available at every little shop that sells alternative medicines, including a host of online stores. But make sure you get the real stuff. Imitations look real but don’t work! Here’s how to identify a genuine Rudraksha seed:

1. A real Rudraksha bead will never float on water.
2. Even if you boil a real Rudraksha in water for 6 hours, there would no effect on the bead. A fake will easily disintegrate.
3. A good Rudraksha bead will not be broken at any end.
4. A ‘healthy’ bead should have well defined and natural corns and contours.

Mantras For Different Rudraksha......

The sacred Rudraksha should have been energised (abhimantrit and empowered) for it to give maximum results. One should check with the provider if it has been done so or not.

Before wearing , the Rudraksha can be kept in one's place of worship and ideally should be worn on a Monday morning before 7.30 a.m.

If you feel like recharging it yourself , you should take it off one week before Mahashivratri. Take a clean bowl and put the Rudraksha in it. Add Pure Desi Ghee in that bowl so that the Rudhraksha is properly immersed in it. Add some sandal wood powder, a bit of turmeric powder (Haldi) in that bowl. Leave it for a week’s time or more. Then on Mahashivratri day before 7.30 a.m. wash it with Ganga Jal mixed with saffron (kesar) and wear it after chanting the required mantra 108 times.

Fasting on Mondays and Mahashivratri day will also be great help and improves the results from a Rudraksha.

The Mantra has to be recited on a Rudhraksha mala and should be spoken in such a way that at least you can hear it. Shri Shiv Mahapuran is of the view that Rudhraksha does not give its full results without the use of proper mantras.
